I have been married to my husband, Adam, for 24 years, and I am the grateful mom of Olivia (20) and Wyatt (17). My life is what it is now because of each of them! I have always loved sports. I played basketball and ran track in high school. Then after I had my kids I started teaching spin classes at our local YMCA. Caring about the fitness of myself and others has always been a passion of mine. In 2010, my husband found an article about CrossFit, purchased some equipment, and started doing the workouts in our driveway. It was 2011 before I joined him, but it didn't take long for me to be hooked. Every time I pick up a barbell, I absolutely love it. There is nothing like the feeling of setting a PR and getting stronger. I want everyone to experience that and that is what drives me as a coach today!
In February of 2021, I went to treatment for alcoholism. I was about to lose everything including my family. It was the lowest darkest time of my life. While in rehab, I made the decision that I would never drink again, and I wanted to live my life the way God wanted me to. When I returned home from treatment, I began to do CrossFit again as a way to help my sobriety. Then, after seeing how it was helping me, I wanted to figure out a way to help others. That is why I started CrossFit Comeback. It is a place for anyone.
We are all carrying something, and I want Comeback to be a place where a community can do hard things together. I love seeing athletes come in and accomplish something that they thought they would never be able to do. I want to be the type of coach that not only cares about the results you will see in the gym but also cares about what you have going on outside the gym.To be motivating but also show compassion and empathy.
